What to Expect From Your First Brazilian Wax in Tacoma

I will walk you through the entire experience so you feel comfortable, prepared, and taken care of from start to finish.
Pre-Care
A little preparation makes a big difference in how your appointment feels and how your results turn out.
Hair should be about the length of a grain of rice. If it is too short, the wax may not grip properly. If you are unsure, it is always okay to come in and we will guide you.
Gently exfoliate the area 24 to 48 hours before your appointment to help prevent ingrown hairs. Avoid caffeine right before your visit since it can increase sensitivity.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing so your skin is not irritated after your service.
During the Appointment
I will start by talking through your preferences and answering any questions you have. Everything is customized, including how much hair you want removed. I guide you through each step so nothing feels confusing or rushed. The service typically takes about 20 to 30 minutes. Most clients describe the feeling as quick and manageable. Your first visit is usually the most intense, but the discomfort passes quickly and gets easier with consistency. My focus is not just on results, but on making sure you feel comfortable the entire time.
Post-Care
Aftercare is key to keeping your skin calm and preventing irritation. For the first 24 hours, avoid heat such as hot tubs, saunas, and intense workouts. Stick to loose clothing and keep the area clean. After a couple of days, begin gentle exfoliation again to help prevent ingrown hairs. Keeping the skin hydrated also supports better healing and smoother results. I will recommend a simple routine based on your skin so you know exactly how to care for it at home.
How Long It Lasts
Most clients stay smooth for about 3 to 4 weeks. Staying on a consistent schedule helps the hair grow back softer and finer, making future appointments more comfortable.
